SolarEdge battery ignores its charge schedule or settings
Your SolarEdge battery doesn't follow what you set: it skips its charge schedule, charges from the grid and won't stop, or its limits reset overnight. This page covers what the codes mean, what to check first, and the causes behind it.
Error codes that go with this problem
| Code | What it means |
|---|---|
| G100 Export restriction (installer portal alert) | The system is running in restricted production mode because of G100 export limits. It needs an installer-level reset to clear. |
| Inverter not producing - Energy Limit mode (installer portal alert) | The site's power limit dropped to zero and production stopped. The owner can't reset it without an installer-level login. |
What to check first
- Switch the battery back to optimise mode in the app. If it starts working again, note that the schedule is what paused it.
- Note whether the problem started after you switched electricity tariffs.
- Note whether the battery charges itself from the grid to 100% and stays there instead of waiting for the cheap-rate time.
- Note whether the battery's charge and discharge limits change overnight, and any Energy Limit mode or G100 Export restriction alert.
- Call your installer. Ask them to look at the schedule on the installer web page as well as in your app, because the app can look fine when the installer page shows a problem.
