Enphase IQ Battery 10C DC switch connector won't seat or cover parts break
On an Enphase IQ Battery 10C, the DC switch connector won't seat or lock, the DC switch wire is damaged, or the cover's side doors won't open. This page covers what the lights mean, what to check first, and the cause behind it.
What the lights mean
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Battery DC disconnect LED flashing red | The battery's DC disconnect switch is disengaged. The battery can't charge or discharge until it is switched on, when the LED shows solid green. |
| Red in the small window on a battery DC connector | The connector is not fully connected. A fully seated connector shows a solid white line. |
| IQ Battery 10C LED blinking red for about 30 to 45 seconds after a 5-second press of its button | The battery is shutting down. Pressing the button again during it interrupts the shutdown. |
What to check first
- Look at the battery's DC disconnect LED. Flashing red means the DC switch is disengaged and the battery can't charge or discharge. Solid green means it is on.
- Ask your installer to make sure no conduit runs so close to the battery cover that its side access doors, used to read serial numbers, can't be opened.
- If the DC switch stops working after the battery cover was taken off or put back on, ask the installer to check the DC switch wire and its connector.
