Inverter shuts down on low battery, SOC reads high

Symptoms
- The home loses power, the battery indicator blinks red, the buzzer sounds and the inverter stops
- The app showed about 40% when true remaining capacity was under 15%
- The app may log 'DC low voltage'
- The manual's own symptom is the Batt SOC% never reaching 100%
- On an off-grid pair of 12Ks the generator start command came about 4 V below the programmed start point and then would not stop at 56 V, because the display read 80% when the bank was full
- On a 12K with four non-communicating SimpliPhi PHI 3.8 batteries the inverter's 'corrected capacity' fell from the 300 Ah entered to 120 to 150 Ah and daily charge and discharge halved (11.5 / 11.1 kWh to 5.4 / 4.9 kWh)
