Inverter connects to grid then drops, Grid Phase Wrong
reported in the field
Symptoms
- The system connects to the grid and drops off repeatedly
- The screen shows 'Grid Phase Wrong'
- The grid symbol is yellow
- F45, F47 or F48 log during outages and self-reset
- On 120/208 V systems L1 and L2 are phase-specific and may have to be swapped
- The 30K/60K warn W03 on a phase order other than A-B-C
- In Puerto Rico an 8K with the grid sagging to about 105 V kept reconnecting to the low grid, dropping house power for a moment each time, until it logged F18 AC_OverCurr_Fault or F34 AC_Overload_Fault and shut down for a couple of minutes, then repeated the cycle
- A second owner's inverter shut down on an AC overcurrent fault when a momentary line dip (a branch on the wires in wind) hit, leaving the critical-loads panel dark for a minute while grid circuits stayed up
