SolarEdge › inverter power stage
Inverter LED goes from green to solid blue
reported more than once
Symptoms
- Production stops, sometimes abruptly and sometimes only discovered later through a high electric bill. What the owner sees ranges from a single LED-colour change (blinking green to solid blue after a power cycle) to a complex LED sequence (solid red, blinking green, cycling blue) to no LEDs lit at all and no communication whatsoever
- Error text is usually absent, and a small minority of cases log a specific but unrelated code (for example '137 - RCD Test'). In one no-LED case a firmware update to a separate battery inverter on the same site briefly brought the panels back before the inverter went dark again a week later
- In another a previously lightning-damaged, already-once-replaced inverter simply went dark again years later. One 13kW system went offline repeatedly over three years: the inverter failed once (attributed by the owner to a bad firmware push) and again about 16 months later, then the inverter's toggle switch failed and two replacement toggle switches each failed within days of installation, for roughly five months of downtime in total
- The last outage was traced by a SolarEdge engineer to an inverter that was working but not communicating, again with no root cause given
