Inverter locks out citing an arc-fault code

Symptoms
- Production drops to zero and the inverter locks out citing an arc-fault code (quoted variously as 3xBE 'locked Inverter Arc Detected', 03x9a/3x9A, or 18x100 'arc detected'), sometimes preceded by a DC voltage spike
- A manual reset or, after a SolarEdge firmware update, a further firmware update can clear it, but in some reports it is never diagnosed at all
