Symptoms
- An owner-run outage test finds neither solar nor battery power engages when the main grid switch is opened, because the installer never turned on the Backup function in SolarEdge's SetApp during commissioning
- Separately, on a system where backup power does work, an EV charger running on battery backup during a real outage draws far less power than it normally does, despite minimal other household load and a higher-rated inverter surge capacity
