Powerwall+ inverter drips rainwater after storms
reported in the field
Symptoms
- Visible rainwater dripping into the top port of a garage- or wall-mounted Powerwall+ inverter after storms, sometimes alongside a loud, seemingly full-speed cooling fan and intermittent complete drops in solar production lasting several minutes at a time
- Inspection finds the LB conduit fittings running from the roof have no drain or weep holes and are sealed non-airtight where code calls for drainage, letting water collect and track down into the inverter enclosure
