Gateway CT readings wrong, doubled, halved, or swapped
reported more than once
Symptoms
- App power flow numbers don't match reality or a third-party monitor (Enphase, SunPower, Emporia, the utility meter): solar or home usage doubled, halved, or reported at zero/negative
- Exports counted as home usage
- Readings flip after an EV charger install, contractor work near the panel, or a firmware update
- A grid CT set to 'none' instead of 'site'
- Or the consequence is behavioural rather than a wrong number: Powerwalls stuck in standby and refusing to discharge under load because the Gateway sees near-zero home draw, huge phantom loads, impossible power flows that disagree with Enphase or the utility meter, a new install throwing undervoltage trip alerts, or readings that changed after a solar expansion
