New system won't finish commissioning or produce

Symptoms
- Newly installed microinverters light up but never produce because the Gateway cannot see the array's Q-relay
- The app disagrees with itself about whether the Gateway or the microinverters are at fault two days after activation
- After adding batteries, communication is lost between old and new generations of hardware
- A newly added 5P battery cannot be found for provisioning because the installer app moved the 'Add Device' option
- A system stopped producing for over a month after Enphase took over monitoring from a defunct SunPower system, eventually blamed on panel voltage exceeding grid limits. A related dead end at the planning stage rather than a fault: an owner of an IQ Battery 3/10 or 3T/10T system, or a 5P owner wanting to add a 10C, finds there is no supported path to mix battery generations (the 5P moved from wireless to CAN-bus control communication and the 10C has limited compatibility with earlier units, and M, IQ6/7 and IQ8 microinverters are likewise not mixable on one system), so expansion means replacing existing hardware rather than adding a unit
