- One microinverter (or a dozen scattered across a much larger, older array) stops reporting or drops to roughly half its expected output, sometimes over months rather than instantly
- Often complicated by the original installer having gone out of business, leaving the owner to arrange an Enphase RMA and either self-certify through Enphase University or pay a third party to physically swap the part
