EG4 › battery management system (BMS)
Third-party inverter can't reach, or misreads, EG4 battery
reported more than once
Symptoms
- A LifePower4 rack bank recurringly faults Schneider XW Pro inverters with F76 (and sometimes F49) whenever the system tries to reach 100%, because Schneider's 'Match MPPT Voltage to BMS' option pulled an incorrect 57.4V target from the EG4 comms hub
- A new pair of EG4 LL 24V batteries on a Victron Cerbo GX throws frequent High Cell Voltage warnings (up to 3.61V) at full charge
- A Sol-Ark 15K sits on the screen that says it is looking for RS485 protocol, or nominal capacity never populates
- A Victron Cerbo GX shows the LifePower4 V2's charge-current limit as about 100 A beside a 280Ah WallMount (300 A expected) or 5 A alone, while the discharge limit reads right
- An LL will not talk to a Cerbo over a cable that works on a PowerPro
- And Growatt ES5000s freeze the battery SOC at one value overnight
