Inverter settings revert after power cycle or toggle

Symptoms
- After switching the battery type from EG4 to Lead Acid and back (the SOC recalibration trick) the inverter starts faulting on EPS and flipping to grid
- PV input on a 6000XP stays capped below its maximum though setting 6 shows a range to 140 A
- A 3000EHV set to 60 Hz flashes on Enter and goes back to 50 Hz on Escape
- A FlexBOSS21 shows 'success' on time/date and other settings which are gone about 20 minutes later
