EG4 › current transformers and consumption metering
Consumption power spikes to 9600W leaving standby
reported more than once
Symptoms
- Leaving standby makes Consumption Power spike to over 9600W with unchanged loads (CTs wired to Load lines instead of Grid lines)
- The monitor shows power exporting to the grid at night while actually importing (fixed by the CT Reversal checkbox)
- Zero house consumption is shown despite a clamp meter confirming real current, because the CTs cannot report until the AC grid wiring is fully connected
- Enabling Grid Sell Back throws a CT-fail-linked error until a relay problem is cleared by resetting
- And connecting a new PV array appears to double measured home consumption, pointing to reversed/miswired CT clamps
