EG4 › battery communication port
Inverter shows 0% SOC, no battery communication
reported more than once
Symptoms
- A new install communicates with nothing (0% SOC, no EPS output) until the comm cable is moved to the correct CAN port
- A second paralleled battery never shows on Device Monitor until the battery protocol setting is changed from 0 to 1
- A FlexBOSS21 will not clear a W000 comm failure until the battery ID setting is set to 0
- Reversed master-battery DIP switches (opposite of what the printed manual implies) block comms entirely
- A mixed LifePower4-V2/V1 bank drifts and drops batteries until the Lithium Type is corrected from 6 to 1
- A third-party (Eco-Worthy, Orient Power, Ruixu) battery needs a specific, sometimes undocumented, Lithium Type/protocol setting instead of the one the manual names
- And the EG4 manual's own instruction to use Lithium Brand '0:EG4' is wrong -- Brand '1' is what actually shows detailed per-battery data
