Symptoms
A battery's BMS goes fully dead (no lights, no LCD, unresponsive to reset), or shows a 'Protection' fault with nothing connected that persists across dip-switch/battery-ID changes, or one cell is badly out of balance (about 60Ah off) and will not balance or charge, or reads full but refuses to accept charge, or throws a discharge-MOS fault alarm after an overload event
